True Beauty...Revealed, A High School Study: This study educates young women about their authentic femininity using a small group setting and study curriculum. The studies are based on Pope John Paul II's writings regarding the New Feminism, Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and other Catholic thinkers, philosophers, and saints.
Along with scripture and catechetical knowledge, the teens will learn practical tips for applying the Church's teachings to their daily lives. Within the eight chapters, participants will discuss the nature of our femininity and discover what it means to be created as woman. They will have the opportunity to reflect on their personal development and character formation, as well as examine their relationships with peers and the opposite sex. In addition, they will read about young saintly women who witness the pursuit of holiness in a world of temptation. Teens will also challenge themselves and one another to strengthen their prayer lives and grow in understanding and love for the sacraments and our Church. Ultimately, the goal of True Beauty: Revealed is to draw young women into a deeper, more profound relationship with Jesus Christ, God-made-man who is the author of our precious dignity as women. In addition to the actual study guide, ENDOW provides a special TBR webpage with resources such as a message board, study guide references (videos, prayer tools, etc.), moral media suggestions, as well as biographies of women saints.
In a culture that promotes selfishness and ingratitude, this ENDOW study group provides a much needed forum for girls to grow in understanding of their God-given dignity and vocation as women. The study curriculum allows teens to share their unique life experiences and embark on a journey to discover the truth about authentic feminism. Through this study and prayer, the young women will inevitably grow in knowledge and virtue, both of which will help them better love and serve others.
