Girl Genius, A Pre-Teen Program: In an effort to reach younger women, ENDOW has created a special Girl Genius program for young women, ages 10-13. The Girl Genius study helps young women better understand their nature, dignity and special role in society.
Besides relaying Scripture and catechesis in the lessons, the Girl Genius Program also incorporates group activities, "girl-time reflections," and journaling sessions that focus on issues affecting middle school girls today (confronting culture/media; teen image/self-esteem, etc). Every lesson also highlights a young female saint that lived a life of holiness, despite the pressures and temptations of the world around her.

Mercy W. Gutierrez is the event coordinator for the Archdiocese of Denver and a columnist for the Catholic News Agency and writes about issues affecting women in the Church and in society. She sits on the Board of Directors for ENDOW and also writes course curriculum for the organization especially for the youth, including ENDOW's middle school and high school curriculum.
