ENDOW Testimony by Jeanette Quesada:
In the 2006-07 school year, I was an assistant to my daughter's 8th grade catechism teacher. One of the youth administrator's told me about ENDOW, and she thought I would like it. My interest was perked because, frankly, I had never heard of Catholic women getting together for any kind of study group. So, I ordered my book on Pope John Paul II's Letter to Women and excitedly marked my calendar for the first meeting.
I can sum up my experience in one word...blessed. What a blessing it has been to hear and share with other faithful Catholic women the true teaching of the Church toward women. I discovered that the Church uniquely respects all women. In turn, my respect and love grew for the Church. This "new" discovery made my personal spiritual journey with God clear. Reconciling, receiving graces, and working His plan are all gifts. Gifts from God, and why wouldn't I want a gift from God? Realizing my husband and I needed to be married in the Church to receive the Holy Sacrament of Marriage became crystal clear. With the help of our priest, and the encouragement of my ENDOW sisters, my husband and I were convalidated on January 20, 2008.
ENDOW, I believe, is vital to the faith of today's Catholic women. In some way, all women have been affected by the secular view of women. This distorted view has to be countered with sound truths, and ENDOW offers these truths to be rediscovered and applied to modern day life. And for that, I am eternally grateful.
